Jeffrey S. Bartlett

Jeff Bartlett has been actively researching historical topics and family genealogies since 1992. Initially pursuing family stories of maternal Mayflower lineage but with few details, Jeff proved two direct lines to Mayflower passengers in 1995 and has since identified seven additional lines. He is honored to have been selected to represent the State of Connecticut in the 375th Anniversary Pilgrim’s Progress parade in Plymouth, MA, escorting one of 102 new American citizens to a naturalization ceremony performed by U.S. Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter. His paternal line immigrated to the United States from Newfoundland in 1909, having left England for Newfoundland in 1750.

With a B.S. in Marketing from Post University, Jeff is a veteran of the Software industry, having served in various Sales and Account Executive roles for over 30 years with industry-leading companies including Adobe, Sun Microsystems, and Oracle.

A graduate of Boston University’s Genealogical Research program, Jeff currently serves as President of the Franconia (NH) Area Heritage Council and is the Resident Genealogist for the Franconia Heritage Museum.

Jeff maintains active membership in many Genealogical Societies offering advanced courses, seminars, publications, and access to private libraries containing vast historical records and Genealogical databases.

A native of Southeastern Massachusetts, Jeff raised his five children in Southeastern Connecticut. He frequents the Mid-Maine coastal lands owned by his family for over 250 years and maintains his permanent home in Franconia, New Hampshire.
